Meet Chef BatC

Chef Batul Akhtar crafts every dessert with love and passion

Chef Batul’s journey in the world of pastry began at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, following her craft course completion from IHM Mumbai. She started as an intern in the pastry department and soon earned a spot in the prestigious Hotel Management Program. After two years of rigorous training, she rose to the role of Chef De Partie at La Patisserie, where she oversaw the creation of French desserts and macarons, catering to VIP banquets.

Mentored by Chef Rohit Sangwan, one of India’s top 10 pastry chefs, Chef Batul refined her craft, working alongside renowned celebrity chefs like Sarah Todd, Chef Chong, and Frank Haasnoot. She further enhanced her skills through specialized training at the APCA in French desserts and chocolate making.

After five years at Taj, Chef Batul pursued her passion and, with the support of her brother, launched BatC. The name BatC is a playful nod to her nickname, “Bats,” with the “C” representing confectionery. At BatC, customer satisfaction is paramount, offering fully customized desserts and cakes made with only pure ingredients—no essences or market-based jams, just fresh fruits and berries.

My brother supported my passion and together we created BatC.

We got the word BatC from my pet name Bats but we changed the S to C which means confectionery and cakes At BatC we focus on Customer satisfaction and service we provide all kind of customizations in the desserts and cakes. We use pure ingredients no essence no market based jams or syrups to flavour our product only fresh and natural fruits and berries are used to flavour our cakes
